Public Liability

Whilst it’s not a legal requirement to have public liability insurance for your business, it is a good idea to invest in this type of business insurance to protect your business should the worst happen, particularly if your business is working with the general public.

Public liability insurance covers you for things like compensation payments and any legal costs should your business be found liable for injury or property damage to someone your business has interacted with i.e. a customer, a supplier, or a member of the public.

Accidents happen more easily than you might think, and a simple spill of a drink on a client’s computer system could land you in hot water (excuse the pun!) and cost your business money. Without public liability insurance, you could find yourself paying out a big chunk of cash that you can’t really afford.

Due to the nature of the construction industry and the frequency of public interactions, as well as the dangers that come with working in construction environments, it is more than a good idea to get public liability insurance, we’d say that it is essential.
